Love your system! This is the best thing since sliced bread. Our IT guy loves the ease of installation of your product. He was very skeptical that it could be that simple and was very excited when it was essentially "plug and play" operation.
Great product, thank you!
Fire Chief Gary Hames, Storey County Fire Department, Virginia City, Nevada - August 2012
eDispatches has quickly become a tremendous communication tool for the Centre Wellington Fire & Rescue Department. As we all know, communications are key for any Emergency Service. By having a second means of notifying our Fire Fighters not only assures an efficient response, but also offers peace of mind that all available Fire Fighters have been notified. The system was very easy to setup and the little bit of support that we required has been second to none! Not to mention that our pager repair and maintenance costs have been noticeably reduced since we subscribed.
District Chief Tom Mulvey, Centre Wellington Fire & Rescue, Ontario Canada - May 2012
We have just under 300 subscribers who respond to emergencies in our rural county, which is agricultural based and consists of a broad coverage area, some of which has dead zones for pagers. All of our firefighters are volunteers and they don't all carry pagers with them all the time, but they all carry their cell phones, so eDispatches has filled the gap as a secondary notification system. In the year and a half that we've had the service, squad leaders have commonly reported to me how helpful it has been in getting a larger number of people to respond to an incident - they have nothing but praise for eDispatches! Our smaller medical Quick Response teams are in a similar situation, where every hand helps when an emergency happens. Additionally it helps the squad leaders stay in touch with emergencies going on when they might be out of the area. The staff at eDispatches has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and they are professional, efficient and continually improving upon the service they provide for a very affordable price. Our emergency services split the cost of the annual fee, which ends up costing each service less than the price of one pager, so it is well worth it.
We recently signed up for "Priority Blast" which is another means in eDispatches to provide notification to services should the paging system go down, or a should a repeater fail. Speed dial was set up on the phones in Dispatch, and dispatchers found it extremely easy to use. We had occasion to use it recently for a 24 hour period when there was a glitch with a repeater, and from the time of "sending the voice messages" to receipt on the cell phone was 10 seconds. Very impressive and it provides great peace of mind should any of our primary paging equipment fail.
-911/IT/GIS Coordinator Liz Beck, Pembina County, ND - November 2011
Payne Springs Fire Rescue recently started using eDispatches a few months ago, and what an improvement to our overall manpower response. As Chief I took my time to search for a solution to our ongoing problem with missed pages due to poor communications within our County. After an extensive search, we made a wise choice and selected eDispatches. Wow! What a difference in total manpower to responses and communication. Being a lake resort area, we are having trouble with our pagers, and handheld radios receiving the pages, now we don't miss a thing! 99% of my department has great phone reception, so joining up took away our barrier! Responders don't have to ask for the address again which cut down on radio traffic. One of the main reasons I selected eDispatches is the affordability. We run around a 1000 calls a year. After selecting the perfect program, we are still within budget and have an outstanding communication system. The Team at eDispatches was very helpful with all our questions and made sure we were happy with their product. Great Customer Service! I look forward to a long relationship with them.
So, if you are looking for a any of the following:
- Solution to communication problems
- Increase manpower response
- Reducing radio traffic
- Affordable - easy set up
- Very easy to use!!
Great Program no matter if you are in the city, or rural like us.
I believe you will be happy with selecting eDispatches.
Our 50 member department is a believer!
Fire Chief Randy Harley, Payne Springs Fire Rescue, TX - November 2011
My fire department has been using eDispatches since 2008 and I highly recommend you try this very valuable service.
There are many times where I have left my pager in my truck or at home but as an eDispatches subscriber I know that I'll always be informed of what's going on in my district. Any time we're dispatched I receive a notification from eDispatches on my mobile phone and I can hear a recording of the actual dispatch immediately. Being part of a fire department with volunteer members means that we're on call 24/7 yet there are many times I can't wear my fire department pager because the emergency tones would be too distracting for those around me.
With eDispatches I can rest assured that I will be notified via my phone so I can hear the recording of the call in a low profile manner and determine my next step. The service also benefits those of us working or traveling outside of the normal reception range of our pagers since we can receive calls via eDispatches and determine if the incident will require additional resources or if we should respond. An added benefit is that the service allows you to stay in touch with what.s going on even when you're away for business or on holiday.
As a fire commissioner this is very important to me because I have to be aware of what types of incidents my members are responding to so I can ensure they have the proper resources. This past summer, while I was on holiday, we had a large structure fire in town and I was able to receive information about the incident through eDispatches. I then knew to contact my chief and his officers to ensure that they had everything they needed and I had a better understanding of the incident for anyone that inquired.
In short, eDispatches leverages the fact that nearly everyone carries their cell phone everywhere they go and it provides me with low cost way to ensure my members stay informed of what's happening in real time.
As the fire service continues to struggle with fewer volunteers and busier personal lives, eDispatches is a tool that you need utilize!
-Commissioner Henry Hansch III, Hanover Fire Dist. 2, Hanover Township, NJ - February 2011
As a Chief I understand the need for back up communications. eDispatches provides that back-up communication and more. Although all of our members carry pagers, the coverage is not always the best and eDispatches provides a reliable method to insure incidents are delivered, whether by text or by voice to each member. It is beneficial to me as the Chief as I can keep in touch with daily incidents when I am out of town. Although eDispatches has currently met the needs of the Zion Fire and Rescue Department, the eDispatches staff is always willing listen and make changes that we feel will benefit the department even more.
-Chief John Lewis, Zion Fire and Rescue Department, Zion, Illinois
eDispatches has been wonderful. We are a combination Fire Department in the mountains of Montana and where our pagers don't work our cell phones do. This coverage problem has made eDispatches a wonderful tool to alert our volunteers and our paid staff who live out of the area to current calls and events. What little support we have needed from eDispatches it has been prompt and wonderful. Thank you for a great product.
-Captain John Moore, Hebgen Basin Fire District, West Yellowstone, Montana
Before using eDispatches, Charleston Fire District relied on a radio system for notification that did not signal all of our pagers due to dead zones. We also have firefighters that do not carry their pagers going to and from work or during other events. eDispatches has provided a secondary notification system that ensures all our firefighter's receive notification of the emergency since most or all carry a cell phone. Since starting the service last fall I have received several accolades from our firefighters regarding the program. It is also a valuable tool to receive notice when out of town of the District's emergency activity. The program provides members of our community the outlet to hear our emergency calls from the recordings available on the edispatches web site. The service is well worth the cost and the customer service has been well supported by the staff of eDispatches.
-Chief Michael Sneddon, Charleston Fire District, Coos Bay, OR
eDispatches has been a tremendous success with the members. Everyone loves it. Tech support, when needed has been amazing. The members love how they can still be alerted to calls and announcements even though they don't have their pager with them. Many members work where it is not practical to wear pagers but now can be alerted to calls on their phones. As Chief, I can be out of town or at work and stay informed as to what is happening in town. It also prevents members from missing calls when their wives or children turn down "that thing that makes all the noise". Thank You eDispatches.
-Chief Mike Geary, Morris Plains Fire Department, Morris Plains, New Jersey
The Newport Fire Protection District has been extremely satisfied with the eDispatches system. The ability of having multiple alerts and notification options, coupled with the custom messaging function has allowed our members to stay informed regardless of where they might be. Managing the account is simple and straight forward. Tech support works quickly to resolve any issues that on the rare occasion may arise. From paid-on-call to career, eDispatches is a must have resource for keeping Personnel informed.
-Lieutenant Kevin Johnson, Newport Fire Protection District, Wadsworth, IL
Just today eDispatches allowed three extra responders to make a call. All were in town and did not get the page to their Minitor 5's! With only a minute delay they were aware of the call. We had an extra piece of apparatus on the road and more people on scene. As in today's daytime call, every member that can make a call counts. Our volunteers are dwindling, we must make the most of everyone we have. The free Custom messaging has been invaluable in getting people to more recalls and drills. The price is right and the product is spot on!
